Your rights (and ours)

What is the “legal basis” for using your data? According to data protection legislation, we must indicate the “legal basis” on which we use your data. We need your data for contractual agreements between you and Dansaert Athletics, such as the purchase of a product or service:

  • Drawing up quotations
  • Order confirmation
  • Contractually required service information

We may also use your data for “legitimate interests”. This means that we want to offer all our customers the best possible and most personal service. This applies, among other things, to: surveys, contact with our customer service department, visits to our website, newsletters and e-mails, personal advice and social networks. We may also be legally obliged to use your data, for example if we suspect fraud.

Who has access to your data?

In some cases, we also share your data with other parties:

  • Partners: when you buy a product from us, your data is shared with our partners.
  • Subcontractors: when we want to send you a postal mailing (e.g. a magazine), we regularly call on a processing company.
  • Data management platforms, advertising and media agencies and research consultancies: occasionally, we call on external companies to help us. Where appropriate, we give them access to our website(s) statistics and social network accounts.

  • Digital media: We store your data in databases under strict security measures. For this reason, your data is almost always stored within the European Union. In the exceptional case that customer data is transmitted to countries outside the European Union, we ensure that your privacy is respected.
